Today we are going to answer the question “Is my success a fluke?”
In the video I tell you the story about how I started working with the Olympics, and how it almost didn’t happen.
Then I’m going to give you 3 ways your brain messes with you on this.
And, you want to watch until the end of the video because I’m going to tell you how to know if your success is a fluke or not.
Let’s get into it.
In July I am going to France to work with the Olympics. These will be the 10th games that I will have worked with.
If you do the math,
– The Olympics happen every 2 years (winter and summer games)
– These will be my 10th games
– Which means 10 x 2 =20
I will have participated for the last 20 years.
I used to think that was a fluke. That any moment they’d tell me,
“Oh, wait, you’re not supposed to be here”
Which, if you look at the amount of time and effort that went into:
• Contracts
• Visa’s
• Accreditation
• Uniforms
• Lodging
•Flights
• Food
•Per diem
etc, etc, etc…
Well that just doesn’t add up.
The same is true with your clients working with you. The time and effort that you both put towards a solution for their problem shows that they value what you offer.
Watch today’s video for some things your brain might be offering you that don’t contribute to your success.
